I read the arstechnica article, the headlines and my original post are just scare mongering, it really won't get in the way.
My main concern is now the censorship door has been opened.
On the subject of censoring the internet for children. I think it's obvious that children should be protected from what you can find on the internet at the touch of a button and i'm sure that in any tech savvy house they are, it's when they visit houses of friends with less savvy parents that they'll be exposed to things. This isn't really different to what many of us experienced in our youth with the friend who's dad had copies of men only. Except now kids can access horrific gangbangs and beheadings.
