"Apparently stopping at lights is girly"
Stopping is girly altogether… Personally I would never run a red light, but then again I'm quite comfortable regarding my sexuality.

Through a red light? That would be you going into a kid, not the other way round.
-
• #5780
^^^ lol what
-
• #5781
so you're mostly worried about hitting a kid in case the police might see you do it?
like your understanding of traffic lights I think you may have your priorities wrong there mate.

Why don't you try holding your kids hand as they cross a road and walk don't scoot, if they walk into a cyclist it's the adults fault clearly for being irresponsible, I always double scan before breezing through lights, my worst nightmare would be to knock down an innocent kid crossing what if CID unmarked were to breeze lights in a persuit . Would be smart arse daddy's fault so next time your out with the brats and scooters hold there hands that way they won't run infront of us, secondly what cyclist wants to press the breaks after building up a nice speed and there drained no way,
The cyclist who "breezes" through some lights and hits one of my kids, CID or not, is not very likely to ride a bike again, ever.
I mean seriously, what a cunt.
^ Sorry, just saw your post, I will ignore from now.

One of my buddies who is on this forum but shall remain nameless flipped when an RLJer passed him a bit too closely for his liking. This was at a pedestrian crossing with the green man on green. As he went past him, he pushed him, hard enough too launch him off the bike.
Unfortunately, the cyclist fell into an old lady which made him feel like a bit of a tit. Luckily she was fine, but I still sort of admire the fact he did that. RLJers will keep doing it until some shit goes down, whether it be getting pulled over by the cops, getting hit by a car or getting shoved off by a 6ft2 musclebound dude at a crossway.

pushing him off his bike is a pretty douche move though.

Y'I know. I would feel bad if my moment of anger ended up hurting someone who should not have been hurt. I am not violent, don't fight normally, at all. But I have been surprised at how angry I feel when it is my kids' safety in question. See earlier in the thread where I shouted out a RLJer a week or so ago. He got within six feet of one of my lads and I was on the point of running after him and starting something.

tbh, what I do is try to forestall it somewhat. If I see someone moving to RLJ any crossing which I am on, I look at them and say, "Don't" or "Stop" or something. That is usually enough.

Yesterday night this guy was riding his bike in the bike lane on the wrong side and is coming directly at me with no lights! I had to swerve to avoid a collision when I saw him. Not enough. he was complaining about my bright front light as he drove by. wtf?! I use knog boomers btw

• #5791
ahahhaha ^ what on earth

• #5792
I cycled past some chap the other night cycling without any lights and his right hand in his pocket. I recognised him as a chap who I know only has the use of one arm.
-
• #5793
Does he only have use of his right arm and drapes the useless left over the handlebars?

Surely that's when you need to photo graph these idiots then name and shame them beofre they injure other road users?
I see riders on boris bikes (at Kennington Cross) regularly do this and endager pedestrians as well as the usual wave of cyclists, from my own experience (i commute 2-3 times per week into central london), it always seems to be foreigners. Maybe they've forgotten we drive on the LHS?

Bloody foreigners!?!

To the thoughtless prick in a ninja balaclava using the pavement to ride down Chancery lane this lunchtime, you don't know how much self control it took not to clout you one as I dodged out your way. WAC.

Some moron possibly courier/ex-courier on holloway road last night, older guy, trampy looking on an old horizontal TT mountain bike, messenger bag, overtook him then pulled in ahead of him, had to slow down for a traffic light, so which he overtook me stupidly close and spat 'if ya gna ride, ride like a man ya cunt' and bombed it through the red and was inches away from getting t-boned by a car at the junction who beeped for about 30 seconds as he smugly rode away
Yeah, haha, that was me. Sorry man, busy day.
