Thanks for the advice, guys.

On my way home now, having met the little one. I met both mum and dad, although mum didn't really like me. The breeder definitely loves her cats, but not having met any breeders before cant really compare to any others. She didn't strike me as too cynical. One thing I did note though, she told me to get the kitten vaccinated at 9 and 12 weeks, but she's letting me pick him up after 8. I read somewhere that they "should" be vaccinated before leaving the breeder? Also, is 8 weeks too early? Most adverts I've seen say 8 though.

nesbit, vets usually advise that kittens have their first vaccinations at 9 weeks old or thereabouts.

Then the second round of vaccinations 3-4 weeks later.
