I'm not sure that android sales will necessarily be a massive influence on whether they make an iOS app or not, they've recently released major updates to their search and mail apps for iOS, and immediately released an official youtube app when apple dropped their one. Keeping people using there services is probably up there in the list of priorities with android sales, lets not forget that google doesn't make money directly from the majority of android sales.
