Almost finished, need to find a 10 speed wheelset or a matching one to the back (ambrosio balance on record 2005ish if anyone has one), bar tape and change the pedals possibly the tires to gum walls.
How tall are you? Curious as to what height minimum the rider would have to be.

I'm 6'6" and I couldn't clear the standover when jammy had it built up

6"7 but 40' legs. Have a couple inches of clearance on top tube.

Pic of you riding it should be required, I think

Project for the GF... Aim is for a fast but comfortable ride.
and a pair of these...
With some brake levers that look like this...
B17 Lady...
And was thinking about reusing this tape I had on the Argos...
...but thinking black grips to match the Brooks may be best option...
Picked up the bike for what I think is a bargain £215, and we cycle past Woodrup all the time so nice to have a piece of local frame building history.

This frame arrived today from Paris. Unfortunately I only had time to put the wheels in to check standover. Wheels are Record Pista tubs, but front tub has gone, hence the road wheel in the photo.

Bit like my girlfriend's bike then?
She'll love it, gearing on that Woodrup look massive mind.

New bike in mock-up mode. Yeah this means that the Dolan FXE will eventually loose its CX status and become a regular beater (with disc though) again.
This will be built up as an SS with front and rear disc. Same frameset as the Dirty Disco but bought in China. Alot cheaper.

Just hope she's tall enough for it. As for gearing, she's been riding around on this "Viking" fixed in SS mode and loving it...
Going to see how she gets on, and if lighter gear is needed will swap out the cassette.

If you find the brake levers a bit odd, check out the Cane Creek SR-5, best one I've found that actually work well with disc brake beside their v-brake version.

^ not sure what you mean by "spotter" bars. Does spotter have a special choice? Mine are Deda RHM01. Cheap stuff.
@scoble - Thanks for the heads up. They are not completely new to me as I've used them on my SS roady where they worked well to my standards. Disc and a lot of hard on the top of the hood braking might change my opinion though.

Search for AC024 or MC024 on alibaba.
http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/576407542/Carbon_Monocoque_Cyclocross_Frame_ICAN_Cyclocross.htmlI bought mine from ICAN Sports. (similar to Hongfu or Dengfu)
Actual frame weight was 1300g and actual fork weight was 480 uncut.
Mine was one they had already with special cableguides for SS i.e. only for rear brake and no derailleurs. You can get them lighter but they will be 200-300$ more.
AC024 also seems like the only one that is made in "58".
