Any suggestions on why my 2009 MBP is running slower and slower these days? Seems to take forever to do simple things now (calculator take over 2 minutes to open sometimes!!!) and stuff like Photoshop and browsers can take an age to close gumming up the whole system. I've tried cleaning/fixing permissions, I've got more than enough free disk space and it only seems to be these past few months that I've noticed the slow down. Any ideas? Should I just back everything up and do a clean install of OSX?
