Those vibram soles, when they wear down, will they get super slippery? Been slipping around in my bucks in the rain a few times –*no fun
Yes
Yes but you can get new soles fitted as they're Goodyear welted, non?

I'm after some black wet weather boots, any suggestions? I was thinking of something along the lines in Red Wings, maybe their chukkas or these ones:
Built like brick shithouses preferably.
These are great, I've had mine forever and they're still in great shape... Really comfy and warm...
You should be able to pick them up way cheaper than a 'moc' or any of their lifestyle stuff from the US as they're in the standard RW range... Mine cost me $80 from a backwoods, redneck boot store just outside Memphis... It was 1998 tho'...
They didn't do them in black back then, bastards...

I had a pair in black for many years. They weren't up to a motorcycle off though...

superdry and its spurious logo disrupts my equilibrium.
Indeed but it's genius. Make shite garms, do some Japanese-esque typography and kick back on your own private island as the mugs nest your egg.

He's right. I'm thankful for the foolish public - it means that wherever I choose to shop the hoards of ovine plebs aren't destroying the pleasant ambience.

Converse, made in Maine, yours for $350 if you can get hold of them. Only 80 pairs made, apparently.

They look like something someone made in a Steiner school.

Look like Yuketen Maine guide boots.

I'm after a pair of derby shoes. Tried on a pair of Loake Stamfords yesterday and liked very much, the guy in the shop had on a pair he'd been wearing for three years and they'd aged nicely as well. I'd still like to see what else is out there before I buy, I guess it's down to the shape of the lasts really, anyone got a pair from another maker they prefer that is worth me looing at?

Just picked up this pair of Loake half brogues. Perfect for the somewhat quirky, somewhat reticent, gentleman:

No, say what you really think..
I like the moc/boat design; would be even better (imho) if two-tone, white deck/black toe
