  • That is worrying for so many reasons! £50 to build one mallet? A brand new proper polo head, pole and fixings will not cost more than £20 so you are essentially paying £30 for someone to show you how to put it together. Not only is that bad value for money, it is really not in the spirit of polo! You can buy polo equipment directly from the LHBPA or Magic Bike Polo (London players company) and any experienced player can show you how to make mallets.

    I have four loaner mallets to bring on Saturday but most beginners have been given one to borrow and they need to remember to bring it with them each time!
