First generation Specialized trispokes were a matt carbon weave, whereas later Specialized and HEDs use a more glossy weave. I think that's a second gen and the photo just makes it look matt though.

nope. first ones were made out of carbon fiber blend with some other plastic and covered in something black, only then they started to expose the weave. lpus, due to the overtake, the latest specialized = oldest heds in terms of look/construction
