They'd agreed to pay this over 5 years, but no mention i can find of how much they actually have paid so far.

£25m, in my admittedly very uninformed opinion, appears to be next to nothing for such exposure.

Doubling the price and it never bloody works properly. 3 of the last 4 times I have used them something has gone wrong. It is most irritating.

Can some one point to an article explaining how Barclays have only paid two fifths of what they promised?

I call them Bixi bikes now, so that I give no credit to Barclays or Boris. In Toronto, where they have the same bikes, there are a few different corporate sponsers, they just have different ads on the rear mudguards.

I used to use the bike hire scheme to get home when I (occassionally) jog into work, at £1 it was almost okay. The 100% price hike makes me think twice. I guess I just need to HTFU and jog home as well. Or just give up the jogging malarky and just cycle.
