  • I am very sad to hear of Dave Sexton's death.

    I knew him.

Indeed in 1972, when I was 14 year old, I went to stay with him and his family in Hove.

A really charming man and a great manager. No manager since has managed Chelsea for as long.

  • Or probably ever will whilst Smiler owns it.

  • I'm not sure if I could take 7 years of TFSW

  • You think he got the message today?

  • No manager since has managed Chelsea for as long.

Errrr, do we really need telling?!

  • Funny how Chelsea fans have NEVER got on the back of the man behind all the recent management lozzles of the last few seasons; Abramovich

He'd be off quicker than you could say 'blood stained roubles' and they'd be in The Championship

Made this point last week. They've just got to keep sucking his cock and hope it keeps jizzing up trophies all over their cockney ( probably foreign actually) faces.

  • No balls Chelsea fans

This conjures up a most horrific mental image.

  • and no I wasn't born in Chelsea & Westminister hospital.

I was*. And don't support them.

    *St Stephen's

  • How old are you Jaw?

    *notatrickquestion

35 and been going to Chelsea since 85-86.

Season ticket holder 98-00 and 03-05

and no I wasn't born in Chelsea & Westminister hospital.

He was manager in late 60s/early 70s

You're Dutch and a plastic since the 90s(lies about '85 - Stamford Bridge was no safe place for an 8yr old in 85)

£10 says you heard of him about 3.27 this afternoon?

You've never had an uncle talk to you about the European games of the early 70's?

You're right though about the Bridge being vile and dangerous. This game was a friendly between Rangers (mums cousin supported them and lived in London then) and Chelsea for the victims of the Bradford fire. The crowd was tiny, smallest crowd I've ever seen at the Bridge but the whole experience made a big impression.

From 88 onwards I've been going at least once a season and since the PL started a few more times a year.

Without the aid of google, name the full 85/86 starting 11

Good call, St Stephen's got knocked down to make way for the C&W... In the early 90s IIRC...

Parents also not massively imaginative on the whole"what to name your son" thing either.

  • Interesting that the cloud appears to be billowing out of the roof of that house.

  • It's easy to say that wasn't a great advert for English football but I think both sides' defences were a joy to watch.

Kompany back to something like he can be. Nastasic getting better every game and I wouldn't swap Zabaletta for any right back in the league.

    Oh Kolarov.

  • Respect to Citeh fans for joining in the applause for Dave Sexton...and for their "You're getting sacked in the morning chant". If only.
