Hipsters can't take photos. You are a hipster. :)
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Oliver Schick again.

A few years back I had a 20d but around 18months ago I needed cash and sold it and all gear, I'd stopped using it much as it was big and heavy and the screen was tiny/crap res for looking back on my most used lens was the cheap 50mm 1.8..
I have a~£250 budget to get started again and I looking at new d3100, used 550d or going for one of the more compact things like my housemates Olympus e-pl1 which seems pretty ok
It'll be for taking photos when travelling or out on rides and pretty bike pictures mainly... Not sure what to go for..

They're all brilliant, especially 7,8,9 & 11.
Did you do much post on them?

Thanks.
All shot RAW and tweaked slightly in LR4. Nothing more than an hour for this batch and a few more.

...Also really like these. I always feel a bit uncomfortable with street photography and rarely get my camera out. I think it's a combination of 2 things for me: (1) I have a tendancy to take too long over my photos so in a busy urban environment the opportunity is often missed and (2) a slight unease about poking my camera in peoples faces - I'd feel a little strange if someone did it to me.
Yeh that book was decent. The author knows his stuff but comes across as the biggest camera geek ever. Found it at the library so you be able to give it a quick read without dropping any monies.
