• I'm looking to get a panel job done on my bike, but would be riding it through the city daily so am slightly worried about durability if I'm getting it done with traditional paints.

Would it be completely ridiculous to get a base colour done in powder by armourtex, and then bring it to someone a bit handier to get panels (and decals etc) done in normal paint?
Price isn't thaat much more, and I figured it would last twice as long.

    Stupid or practical?

This also depends on the availability/existence of someone who will do paneling and possibly create/mask out and paint on some decals (Geoffrey Butler have pretty boring decals so I figured I might as well improvise there) etc in or around London for a half decent price (Vaz?) so if anyone knows of anyone people do let me know too.
    Cheers

Try here Colourtech in Maiden Lane Crayford/Dartford border 01322 555549

Remember with normal paint you have to let it dry and harden properly then you will have the finish you desire and you wont/shouldnt need to powdercoat then have panels enamelled

    Hope this helps
