Did it taste of the blood and bile that comes from your stomach during too much effort?

I've got the grey softshell, can't seem to wash out the splash marks though
Should I send it back?

After a couple of days use my paul smith jacket smells like a fetid hamster scrotum after a good 3 hours on the exercise wheel. Sweat my tits off wearing it on the bike and freeze them off as soon as I stop and the litre of sweat inside it cools down.
looks nice though. maybe I should carry a transfer jacket in my backpack to help keep my sweat 'au point' and avoid the discomfort of being cold and stinking and just be hot and stinking instead.

this.
But do agree that the thumb/cuff thing is really uncomfortable. My cuffs have also completely disintegrated now. I most ignore them.
Just tuck the thumb loop up inside the sleeve, you don't have to use it.
My first softshell didn't suffer from the cuff disintegration thing, the second one did but they fixed it on the repair programme.

how lazy are you on the bike? my softshell comes out when the temperature dips below five degrees as i boil to death in it usually
I think this down to what layer you're wearing.
A simple t-shirt would still be cold, whether a long sleeve baselayer would make it perfectly warm.
I cut the elastic cuff off my Softshell but kept the elastic on the thumb and it's much more comfortable, especially with glove.

Received a surprising sum of money from my dad today - a rather early Xmas gift - with the instruction 'Buy something nice for your bike'.
Not one to let instructions go unfollowed, I immediately went to the Cycle Club Osaka and bought a
huge volume of soapClassic Softshell.Fuck. Oh well, thanks dad!
There are now three of us in my group of friends with NJS bikes and black Rapha softshells. Oh dear.

I will. We're all going to go on a late-night pudding run (not a euph) sometime soon - this is a strange tradition - so I'll make sure we're all Rapha'd up.

Actually that's not TERRIBLE for a decent softshell in Japan - climbing stuff here is horribly priced too. But yes. sigh
