  • What Dicky said.
People pay the same money for some dodgy conversions.

    Beats me..still trying though

  • Maybe an early Xmas present?Still for sale..

  • Anyone hesistant due to the frame being shipped, I bought a bike for a friend from RIH and it came extremely carefully packaged.

  • I can't understand how no one has bought this yet, seriously. Were it around 6cm smaller I would've sold a kidney by now.

  • now sold _THANKS

  • Finally! Hope it went to a good home :)

  • sorry to bring up an old thread but, I have this frameset now and I'm struggling to find a seatpost pin for it. It's currently got a Allen Bolt and nut on there instead from the previous owner, but it does not fit properly. Does anyone know what type of seatpost pin fits on this? Cheers

  • What do you mean doesn't fit properly? Wrong length? Or is it missing the 'slot' on the nut for the drive side? Either way, check here and see if any will fit: https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/seat-bolts-clamps/?order=price+ascending

    Also, are the clamps bent?

  • the bolt and nut is pictured, the clamp is bent in like that, near enough touching. I don't want to carry on using the bolt/nut as it's going to damage the clamp more. It's already damaged the left side. It's a 27.2mm seat tube and the Seatpost was fine inserting, firmly held in place by the over tightened clamp, but not enough to get stuck. How would I open the clamp up? Will it damage it more? Or shall I buy a Seatpost pin and just tighten it ? Thank you

  • I'd be tempted to go for a traditional seatpost binder which will be shouldered through the eyelets so there isn't any chance of cutting away the eyelets any further with the thread. If the eyelets are so close that the binder won't nip up I'd shim it with washers.

  • You'll need a new binder bolt so get one asap. Try and see if it solves the issue.

As for the clamps, try asking on the current projects thread. Someone will come up with the best solution for you.

  • thanks for the replies, ive ordered a seatpost binder now. waiting for that, hopefully its short enough to pull the clamps together

  • I've ran into another problem..... I have a Royce Italian threaded track bb to replace the worn out Italian track miche bb. But the royce cups won't thread in, it seems it is too big by just under a mm. The measurement on the miche is 1,37x24bcs and the Royce says M36x24. They're both 70mm track bottom brackets so why do they have different sizes?

  • just found out that's it's British threaded!!!! My mistakeeeeee ahaha

  • And it does have toe overlap, around 3cm of toe overlap on 165s. I don't care but yeah ahah

  • Learning is making mistakes :)

  • Unusual to have a 68mm English bottom bracket shell in an Italian frame?
