  • Jesus mclordy Christ! I show a pic of a bit if scaffolding in London and you pinpoint it exactly. Own up, that's your bike isn't it?

Ha, definitely not my bike, haven't been there in months unfortunately due to a (twice) broken collarbone. I remember getting incredibly annoyed trying to lock up to the scaffolding in question, that kind of thing sticks in your mind...

  • I also recognised that as the climbing centre.
To be fair thats one of the safest places to lock a bike so you don't need to go crazy on security.

  • don't lock them near the floor, or dogs will piss on them

    filthy little bastards
Actually if you have a long cable lock, it is better to lock through bottom of spokes & tube because i"ve seen a scrote break a cable lock that was locked higher on the bike, kind of jump down through it. You cannot get that leverage if the cable skirts the floor. Id rather have a piss soaked lock, than my 1968 Cinelli being nicked! Actually the bit about the Cinelli was a figment of my imagination.

  • There for at least 25min with no sign of owner. Ended up taking it into office and leaving a note.

Seems like legitimate forgetting. Good on you, did they come get it?

  • Kings x

  • For the love of God!

  • ^^ classic

  • Hah! Hurts to laugh that much at the moment, but can't help it.

  • incredible

  • Wow. Just wow.

Is there a second lock on the rear wheel?

If there isn't, that is truly beautiful.

  • there's not!

Nice utility bike, too. I assume whomever this belongs to would be gutted if it were stolen. I would have left a note had I had time.

  • Corr - you lot are HARSH! But fair, too. Perhaps LFGSS could print some flyers/stickers with the URL of this thread on. People could put them on the badly locked bikes...

  • i like the idea of a sticker but we would have to be very careful not to make anything that once it was stuck to a bike simply advertised the fact that it was easy to steal before the owner got back to it!

  • Yes, that occurred to me after I posted! Perhaps a secret sign of some sort...

  • WTF? Someone makes an effort yo use 3 locks and manages to fail miserably!

  • ?

absolutely nowhere to lockup round kingsx, those lampposts are thick as trees.

There are loads of free bike racks, about 20 yards away. Not enough, but loads. This person obviously couldn't be assed.

    Funny you should say that...

Could someone with graphix talent design a spoke-card that says GOOD WORK! and also has a link to this thread?

  • Feel free to make some...

  • This is a brilliant thread! Love it.

  • ^Seconded.
