Real nice aussie guy that knows his stuff. Not sure if he's too expensive. Charged me £70 for a complete resole of a pair or boots, very nice work but too expensive? not sure.

    I went in here today.
I think his work looks great and I don't think £70 for a full re-sole and new heel is expensive, but I don't know either.
That's what he wanted to do to cure the creaking in my Sanders and Sanders shoes.
He's definitely tending towards the precious artisan end of things though, I believe he may even use the word bespoke.
When the Crockett and Jones wear through I'd take them there but the eBay ex Army officers shoes.....
Also I'm still sure the noise is coming from the heels which probably only need re-nailing, he did seem to make up his mind rather quickly as to what needed doing. I'm sure taking off the entire sole and remaking it would cure the problem but it seems a bit drastic.
So I dropped the shoes off at the (Cypriot geezer) Dulwich Cobbler which is next to Herne Hill Station, they moved there from next to New X station where they had been since I was a kid my mum used to take her shoes in there, so I reckon they know what they're about.
I'll let y'all know if they cure the creaking by re-nailing the heels for £12 (new rubber on heel inc)
    They cut keys too.
    :-D
