We were okay first half, never like it when we score first, we never seem to kick on and dominate the game, especially away from home, but then we're built to counter now, so it should sit in our favour.

Not so. City weren't particularly impressive, but when you can replace 30millions striker with 20million striker it shows.

Second half we came out flat and City just got up a head of steam. Thought we'd hold on for the draw and then Dzeko popped up with the winner.

We lack a bit of guile up front, Dempsey did nothing, looks like he's still adapting, Lennon has reverted to the form of a season or two ago where he looks to pass back or sideways rather than taking on his man.. And despite it being Maribor, we looked dangerous with Ade and Defoe in the side..

But we're still top 7 without playing particularly well this season, so fingers crossed we improve and kick on..

Suarez is a fucking cretin. How Chelsea only scored one goal is beyond me. Torres looks like a rabbit cought in headlights when he's in front of goal.

Torres is a joke. Suarez shows him again how it should be done. We should have won that by 2 or 3 goals. Lucky for you and all the other teams, we only have one player who can score. Things will be very different come the New Year

Chelsea should have taken the result in the first 1/2 Liverpool were lacklustre at best in the final 3rd.. Suarez barely saw the ball. Mata should have done better.

2nd half was Liverpools, started to show a bit more and Suso coming into the middle shows he's going to be quite the talent. Could have nicked a win but a draw is probably fair.

Considering there was a blatant faul in the build up to that goal I think a draw was extremely harsh on Chelsea.

Was quite relieved that Rodgers did exactly that yesterday!

As for the poor English crop of players (and kind of in defence of the teams); Lennon/Downing/Milner/Barry etc... Could all be classed as past failures that the clubs have hopefully learned from - there were some decent displays by younger players this weekend so maybe the future is looking good for the England team. Or am I being too optimistic?
