Got one out of two new levers attached to my Barry Hoban today. Very happy with the colour match to the frame. Thanks Hilly Ben! More photos of the whole bike to come

Whatever you do, do not sand, sand blast or do anything abrasive to it. You won't know you've hit the fibre until you've actually done it and then it's too late.
Try acetone or dichloromethane (if you can get your hands on it). Or rattlecan...You can sand it and re-clearcoat it. Or you can sell and buy something without graphics or atleast graphics you like. Option 1 is kinda fun but it takes abit of time and i doubt its gonna be cheaper.
I got this rather nice but incredibly gaudy decorated fsa kforce stem. The graphics are so shit its really distracting. Is it at all possible to strip stuff like thise or does the clearcoat being polished off or stripped damage the carbon wrap?

That's a handsome bike Upstart.
With regards to removing the decals from the carbon stem, you might want to try T-Cut or some other cutting compound - abrasive enough to remove the decal (if it's on the surface) but won't go through the lacquer (unless you spend all night rubbing on it... what?)

Just got this new bike put together to replace my 'compromised' Cinelli SC.
It's a monster! Picked up the Litespeed Icon frame and reynolds forks from eBay, took the record groupset and wheels from the old bike and bought assorted bits. Only ridden it for a few minutes today but it's a rather amazing ride :-)
Need to tweak the fit a little then i'll bead blast the bike, replace the pedals with clipless and maybe look for new wheels in the new year.
Can't wait to ride it properly tomorrow!

Looks amazing. How come you're getting it bead blasted.

Yeah right, why? I'm not a fan of paintwork over Ti, but that's tastefully done.

Sweet ride. Just level out your saddle.

...and bang a spacer on top the stem maybe.
Very nice indeed. Enjoy your ride tomorrow.

thanks fellas!
I'm thinking of stripping the frame because there's a white triangle-ish graphic running on the toptube, round the head tube and onto the downtube (it also says 'Icon' on the top which is naff). This was designed to continue onto the forks which were not included in the sale. Just looks a bit of a clash in real life - not so bad in the pix.
Saddle was levelled out just after the pic was taken, and i'm definitely gonna adjust the stack height once i'm dialled in.
Hope i can get off work to get some riding in tomorrow, fingers crossed :-)

Vigorelli now Looks like this:
Destickerd the Tri. Then found a Thomson Elite x4 in the partsbin at my work, too bad it was a +10 degr.. so I flipped it for the time being. Also found those FSA Wing Pro Compact bars in there, which are really lovely!
Did a 100km ride yesterday together with some friends, and I really loved the bike! So now I'm searching for a x2 stem.
Question: still haven't sorted out the spacing, currently I have 25mm underneath the stem and 1 above. Are there any 25mm solid black spacers around? Can't find them.

Chris King make solid 25mm spacers in all their usual colours

Sanding it and re-coating it will take about an hour. I did a pair of forks.
