My kitten Maia has been kept in overnight as she bled a lot in her spay operation today. Apparently she has a wonky uterus.*
I welled up when I was told. I'll find out in the morning if/when she can come home and will have not option but to take her on the bus, which isn't ideal for either of us.
Moses is quite distressed by her absence and managed to get out earlier - I only discovered this at 6pm, so he must have been in the garden for several hours. He's now eaten though and is currently snuggled up and fast asleep in the chest of drawers next to me.
Fingers crossed, all will be well tomorrow.
*clearly its medical term :)

You're in the chest of drawers? I don't remember you being a borrower?

Tesla's ear hair reminds me a bit of Lacey's, except hers curls up into little horns that go around & touch the back of her ears.
Is this another one of Maggie's kittens?
I can't believe how beautiful they look!
Maggie looks so plain compared. -

Is this another one of Maggie's kittens?
No, Lacey was brought in after being found in a pub car park at 3 months old. She's 3 years old now, hardly seems to have grown since then. Smallest cat I've ever seen!

Sorry, I thought she looked so similar to Dammits kitten.
Well done on the rescue job. -

For every cat that gets posted on here, I appear to have photographed a similar looking rescue at some point :-)

She loves sitting under that light. I have put it on timer for her now so it pops on at 4pm and she sits and "suns" herself under it.
She has the look of "Oh.. Brave.. Glad you're home.. We've been meaning to talk to you.. First we need to roll over your sweaty socks".

At a fancy pet shop today and weighed Holly, she's actually lost a bit of weight since she was 6 months old, (now 11 months) she's now back on puppy food, hopefully this will get her back in the right direction otherwise I think I'll take her to the vets to get checked out.
She's completely healthy, has bundles of energy but concerned nonetheless...
She's been learning some basic gun dog skills today, and will now wait by my feet when I throw her ball until commanded to fetch, seriously impressed with how quickly she picked it up.
