  • TED is fun, as is The Watch...
    #popcornmovies

  • Probably the most relevant thread to put it in. I got bored, wrote an email and sent it to Michael Bay.

  • blade runner?

  • Saw Room 237 and Shinning double bill last Sunday.

Room 237 is entertaining and the contributors "observations" range from fascinating to utterly bonkers.

The Shinning on the big screen was stunning and watching the doc beforehand didn't spoil it..

However, I can see why the extra scenes were cut from the European release. Nothing to add to the film really.. one scene in fact just looked cheap and tatty.

  • One of my favourite films, watch a snapshot here, freaking amazing:

  • ^^^The Shining was great on the big screen but I agree about the extra scenes not adding much.

  • blade runner?

    What?

  • Has anyone seen Rust and Bone?

    Going next week.

I was disappointed tbh, Great leads but the story is poor imo

  • Went to see For a good time,call... the other night. Hilarious but dirty too. First film I've properly laughed at all year!

  • Maybe he's young

keep my teeth, nice and clean

  • "Smoke a fag, put it out..."

  • Half way through The Sweeney, best British comedy in years...
    #haveabanana

  • It can't be that funny - you're posting on here...

  • Fag break...

  • Fag break...

    Hahahaha

I did enjoy the sweeney but the final car chase is terrible. Going at 5mph through a caravan park, dead glamourous

  • Fag break...

You're supposed to have given up...

  • Has anyone seen Rust and Bone?

Saw it last night, amazing, heavy!
Emotional and inspiring. Visually stunning, some very good use of light.
Some questions remain unanswered and some continuity stuff, ie. why Stephanie was in the Annex alone, but I guess you don't really need the answers.
Some ridiculous scoff and laugh out loud bits.

Marion Cotillard, crazy talented actress. You forget she's playing a character.
    Matthias Schoenaerts hot hot hot.

  • Thoughts on Disney/Star Wars acquisition?

I'm pretty positive. Matthew Vaugh tipped for directing, Harrison Ford and the gang saying they'll happily come back (due to be set long after 6).

And looks like the want to start pumping them out ala Batman/James Bond. As Lucas has ruined just leaving it as a perfect trilogy, seems fine to me. Can only get better. Who knows, in twenty years time they might re-make the prequels....

  • I've actually been rewatching the original trilogy over the last few days, on the back of this news.

Fell asleep during Jedi tonight. Never did find it very enthralling actually. Opening is a bit dull, Jabba's palace is too bizarre (and has been RAPED by CGI since 1997, good god), speeder chase is awfully filmed and Ewoks are, well, Ewoks. Not a patch on the previous two films.

  • God Bless America

    perfect.

  • "Smoke a fag, put it out..."

    "Feel like shite......"

  • Just seen Apocalypse Now, now.

    Wow. Marlon is the man.

  • They've fucked it... like PROPER fucked it.
