id rather not go bigger than 28c.
Why not? too comfortable?

Since my Tokyo Fixed Dream Machine is out of the picture until I get the top tube repaired, I quickly put my old Dolan back together to ride in the meantime.
wide A23 rims, Paul hubs, lightweight 30c tyres, TRP levers etc. just need to slam that stem like my Genesis.
I can't set the saddle far back enough annoyingly, need to get the Velo Orange one with it's generous 30.2mm setback.

have rep for the Desgrange sticker

What happned to the dream machine??

I thought you were a fellow t-rex? Would a longer stem not be a better solution? Looks nice

Damn, i like your steel frame much better! Never been a fan of the Vigo and it's geo..
I bet it's a shitload nicer to ride though. Whatever your aesthetic preferences, when it comes to ride: New bikes > old bikes

Yeah, strip down as much as possible, big slick gumwalls, ride off kerbs. That's the plan.
good stuff...
dropouts look semi horizontal so should be easy enough...

75 degree seat tube put a normal saddle too far forward.
Have too much weight on handlebar, and I'll put my Brooks B17 hence the need for the Velo Orange seatpost.
And need to put an 100mm stem on, I think I've stretched a cm more since last year.

British Airway dented the top tube on the return flight from Morocco.

serves you right for not riding back. HTFU etc....
:)

That was my CX bike, how do you not noticed the clunking big disc brakes and gears?
-
• #68915
I was dodging potholes :)
my bad......its also a different colour. and shape. and everything. I might need glasses.

Its tempting for the Surly, got some 32c Pasela's i can put on, see how that goes, but the bike needs to be versatile, id commute on it but would also be an alternative to my road bike as well, so 28c is pretty ideal.
Plus that's only like 4mm extra clearance.

The only difference is the amount of vibration the tyres absorbed, no reason not to go bigger.
Look for a Gatorskin or Bontrager Race Lite in 32c.

• #68918
what about rolling resistance?
-
• #68919
What rolling resistance?
The biggest irony is that setting your tyres at a higher pressure on your HHSB actually increased it.

It was Henri Desgrange, founder of the Tour de France, he was oppose to using variable gear in the Tour de France.
I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five.
Isn’t it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer?
We are getting soft…As for me, give me a fixed gear! And remember, like the internet, the sticker isn't meant to be taken seriously.

I beg to differ.
my cunt sticker made me a better person.
