Macaroni cheese is fucking DENSE. I walked in there like I was Adam Richman and managed about half of my dish.

Funny you should say that, last nights' food was fucking epic.
We went here:
http://www.apronsandhammers.com/Crustacean central. Started with fresh calamari and king prawns, and followed with a bucket each of muscles, crab and king prawns. Beers and desert as well set us back forty quid a head.

You're coming here or Kensal Rise?

Sounds surprisingly good! My experience of food there has been weak unfortunately.

D-town. Just for the night. Think my flight gets in at around 11 and a connection early the next morning so I'll make do with whatever grub is available in the lounge at DBX. -

Boiled potatoes, Mushy peas, and loads of bacon.
I've tried it with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brunost. But I prefer the salt of the bacon.

Bacon? Interesting, can def see it working.
My girlfriend is from the south of sweden where they eat it on christmas eve. Always with boiled potatoes, fish cooked in oven with just a bit of salt and pepper (I think) and white sauce, almost a bechamel. I'll have a go at introducing bacon this year, we'll see how it goes down

The salt draws out the excess water in the oven. I'm not sure you can call it cooked, its more just warmed up. If it starts to cook, it turns to slime. Bloody tricky.
In Norway they have http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rakfisk. I seem to remember a rotten fish dish you buy tinned in Sweden. The gas build upo in the tin being so bad, it recomended you open the tin under water.
