I definitely want the former not the latter.
I just want to avoid any one who believes themselves to be an 'artisan' and prices accordingly.
I'm pretty sure the squeaking is coming from the heel as I can see that some of the layers of leather are separated, and the noise seems to be coming from there.
Unfortunately it's so loud they are unwearable, which is a shame as I really like them, they have a sort of Tintin look about them.
