  • That tape if fucking class

  • Put risers on to make it more street ridable, as the bars I had on it were more track-friendly and pretty uncomfortable for riding on the tops. It's odd getting used to the more upright position, I feel like I'm riding a sit-up-and-beg bike.

I have some new forks as well, which I will be able to fit once I've scrawped 0.6mm off the crown race 'seat' at the bottom of the steerer at work tomorrow.

Also on the lookout for a silver 130mm stem, this black one is beautiful but I'm not sure it works with the bike. End of next month on payday it might be time for 25c Paselas, if the chain has slackened enough to fit a 25mm tyre.

Here it is in commuter (sacrilege) mode:

  • Pasela - summer tyre

  • Tom you can have the 130mm engraved 3ttt that you saw...

don't know what to ask for it :/

  • Pasela - summer tyre

Schwalbe Luganos aren't exactly winter tyres...

  • Where did you get a fork from in the end Tom?

  • im commuting on luganos theyre fine! ish

  • ^^ Sorry I forgot to say, Tokyo Fixed got the Action forks back in, I went there by chance to pick up a frame for Spotter and it turned out they had them in stock and that they had 26cm steerer.

Give them a call and see if they have any more. They're really nice looking forks, only problem was the crown race seat was JIS (27mm) rather than ISO (26.4mm) but I suppose that's quite sensible for new forks, and quite easy to remedy.

I commuted on Luganos for ages as well two years ago. Decent tyres, but the 'gumwall' ones don't look like gumwalls. I was disappoint.

  • Yeah mine are now pretty much entirely grubby black/grey

  • ^^ Ha ha you're kidding. So the steerer length they quote for those forks is bogus!

  • Looks lovely, Tom..the white Rolls and aero post makes such a nice improvement..looking forward to see the silver stem on it too.

My cream cinelli straps with some Campag track pedals would look the business ;-)

Yeah, it would be worth confirming what they have in before you buy online as it does seem to vary a fair bit.

I have some MKS track pedals with dark blue straps I'm going to try first. The Time Atacs were temporary I think. I'm looking forward to the silver stem too. And the straight forks and Monoplanar brake!

  • Silver stem and new forks...

Next up, pedals that are actually comfortably to ride on (maybe the GR-9s off my Raleigh) and Paselas.

And then finished? Seems unlikely, but maybe.

Well impressed with the Action forks from TFG.

  • Better pics tomorrow hopefully.

  • do them on tuesday yeah fam?

  • Mos def

  • beautiful.
    colour is so good!

  • That's gorgeous Tom(x7). I saw it briefly when you popped in on the Guinness ride, but it's even better in daylight.

    Good pictures Spots.
