The first half was a game that ebbed and flowed, Killer Bees would take a lead, but the Doughballs would peg them back, finishing 6-8. But the Killer Bees came out for the second half and were scoring from everywhere. Boagey and Brendan traded goals, scoring 7 in 10 minutes to take a 9 goal lead, after which the game was all but over as a contest. Doughballs regained their composure, and the teams were much more equal, but the start of that half was the crucial period of the game.
There were some great performances from both sites, Dave scored lots of important goals (3 in 3 minutes in the first half, to give them their momentum back), Julia was like a wall in defence, but for Man of the Match I've got to give a joint award to Brendan and Boagey, whenever they were on court together the goals were flying in, Brendan hitting them long, Boagey getting the closer ones.
