  • Putting air in yo tyre ≠ a project ppl.

  • you removed silly logos from the bar, yet persist on having MASSIVE logos pasted absolutely everywhere?

    ftfy

  • A project report on behalf of my brother, who walked off with this after helping out Dad with a long-needed shed clear-out yesterday. AFAIK, it's a Geoffrey Butler, plain gauge 531, early 80s?? Powered me to victory as Schoolboy of the Year at Herne Hill, 1988 - mainly because of lack of schoolboys at Herne Hill - and will be made into a roadworthy fixie I believe. Sorry for NDS, it's actually quite a nice Dura Ace chainset.

Not sure what he's got in mind but I'll report back if I ever see it finished.

  • gave the winter bike a facelift

bar tape feels fail, but wanted done without spending, and had it languishing in the parts bin

flitesaddle, & king h/s donated from other traded bikes, added a crank, rd, and shifters that were in better nick

  • That's a pretty nice winter bike. What's your summer/weekend ride?

  • ohh, don't go there mate)

  • Hahaha, come on, you've gota show us now!

  • The Merlin looks great - just doing up an REW Reynolds and I might be inspired by the red brake cables as I've just gone for gum brake lever covers...

  • I got this Raleigh Gran Sport about two days ago. This bike would be my winter bike.
I want to restore it,and I want to put some mudguard on it.Change the saddle and the seatpost etc..The frame is 64.The bike cost me 60£

Noice! I wish my dad had some track frames in the shed, he has got a 50s FW Evans road bike in there but he isn't giving it up any time soon.

  • what nice stiff and silver cranks are there that are meant for JIS tapers? if any? Im currently running a shimano 600 set with a 1/8 track chainring, but is there anything better?

French thread bottom bracket so unless you go phil wood its got to be JIS (or really expensive NOS campag which i dont really want to pay)

    shit, I've been unmasked

  • Pompetamine got a new coat of paint.

Just lookin for a black stem now. Head badge and decals are on the way.

  • black stem??? silver works with everything else!!

  • black stems with silver headsets tend to look awful.. JS

  • I was just going to say, wouldn't it be a little lonely there?

  • I have a black Thomson, I could live without 110mm I think

  • I really like that Chris Borneo, got any more pictures?

    What are the forks?

  • Turquoise ftw.

  • black stems with silver headsets tend to look awful.. JS

    I'd beg to differ :)

Lovin the 70s/80s touches at the moment, hence the white tape and gum hoods. I hope I can get it all to look right on a modern build.

Will get some more pics up when I've got decals n head badge. Forks are Kona P2s

  • Took these pics of my 5 year olds new singlespeed SE bmx we built together:

  • Pompetamine is well nice! Not a fan of the saddle though, although it might just be the angle of the photo
