• ...I'm loving the way the look and feel of Android is progressing, they're putting so much effort into UI/UX and it's refreshing to use something that isn't smothered in fake leather, gloss and stitches – I really disliked the way iOS was heading. Skeuomorphism can seriously >>>>>. However, now that Jonny Ive is leading human interface design at Apple I think we can expect to see iOS become as nice as the hardware it's wrapped in. Which I'm very excited about, both as a designer and a user of these devices.

True that; but forstall sure had impact, I am fine with a little bit of Skeuomorphism but Find a Friend app can >>>>>>>>>>

Android is exciting because of the reasons you stated above plus their design guidelines are way better than that of apple's. Anything with default/vanilla version post 4.0 is great. The most attractive bit of Android is price, especially the nexus range. When iPad mini was announced at £269 my first reaction was TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY NINE POUNDS!!! WTF! I dont mind more handicaps but get that price down.

Nexus 7 is what I call 'sweet-spot' of any tech where price and performance (purpose maybe) is just perfect. Nexus 10 is NOT even with its sharper than retina display NFC and what not. Pricing is the new innovation ; ) (mind you I am from India where you can get an android phone for £60)

And my reason for not getting the nexus 7 is simple, I cannot justify it ; ) plus I can buy bike stuff of that value. Not that I need any of the above
