^ Not the most helpful comment. Look forward to seeing it built up though!

Interesting. Is the frame a painted finish or some brushed raw thing? Hard to tell from the photo.

does look like its gonna be a load of fun.
cranks wise i'd be going for profiles with an imperial chainring.

Almost exactly my scissor build - going for nuke proof carbon forks and phil wood hubs though.
You using a 26" fork right? How are you planning on dealing with the difference in axle to crown measurements?

^^ i've got profile cranks but i'm not very happy with them.
Xander has the sram s300 cranks on his scissor and that has a spanish bb so if you want more traditional cranks i'm sure there's an adaptor

That fork would go well on my steamroller, does it come in a 700c version? Would that be the 29er model?

They do versions with various a-c lengths.

Its a silver powdercoat called ash something or other. How much would you be wanting for said brake? also does it come with a rotor?

I would prefer to have a threaded bb, but this will do. I did look for an adaptor but I couldn't find one. I thought profile cranks were quite pricy no? will i actually notice the extra money in them? bare in mind the most this bike will probably do is ride down some steps and hop some curbs.

it is the 29er version, they are the same as 700c
What happened to the bruser?

Ahh, i see have you a link to them?
All the 26" carbon forks i looked at had longer axle to crowns then the stock scissor forks and the 29" were way way too big as they were compensating for frames with fork travel

Build looks mega, I got one of these, was going to save till spring but feeling inspired by this thread...

Why those carbon forks? I've had them and didn't like how they rode, shirley steel forks will look nicer and be stronger?
-
• #18
why hydra discs?
-

25.4 bar with 31.8 stem?
-

^thats nothing.
31.6 seatpost in a 27.2 frame?

There'll be a bit lighter than steel ones, take take a bit of road noise out and i fancy trying them. Why didn't you like them?
why hydra discs?
because they're better than cable discs, however if funds are low I will settle for a cable.
25.4 bar with 31.8 stem?
I has shim.

I have a couple of different brakes that I'll be selling soon, if you're interested. I'm not back in Norfolk till next week though. One cheap. One not so cheap.
-
• #23
^ When I say soon, I mean when I finally got around to it :-)
-
• #24
its one brake, on the mordecai I doubt you would notice the difference. plus hassle.. plus price..
ps. didnt know hydraulic brakes come work without cable now -

Cable is not equal hose.
I fancy something to slam about the city, so this is getting built.
I still need to decide what cranks I want yet, they need to be BMX ones as the frame as a press-fit Mid BB. I'll also be using a hydraulic disc brake on the front (an area I know little about) so I need to pick one of them too.
