  • Awesome. But guessing it won't run on my 3gs if GTA3 didn't. booooo.

  • Anyone get the Dark Souls DLC this week? It's been awesome but I feel like I'm nearly finished it. Seems a bit short.

  • So started Dishonored this morning and so far I'm very impressed. Feels very fresh, reminds me of Bioshock - which has made me redownload Bioshock from steam to play through...again.

Deleted Max Payne this morning, didn't even feel compelled to complete it. Freed up almost 30GB too!

  • Anyone here play World of Tanks?

  • Just played the XCOM demo, it was pretty good, if I had money I'd buy the game.

  • AC3 is pretty awesome so far. Not sure how 'different' it is to the rest of them, and I still wish they'd never bothered with the sci-fi story line in AC1. (Would have preferred just a history lesson really...)

The stupid defence mini games from brotherhood or whatever they were in are gone, and hunting animals is pretty fun. So far, so good.

  • ^ how did you end up with AC3 already? Didn't think it was out until Wednesday...

  • Friend of a friend's cousin's uncle is Ezio Auditore...

  • Never played an AC game, is there a good starting point?
    1?

  • Yeah probably!

1 was a bit repetitive, but still worth a blez. 2 fixed most of the complaints of one, and after that i can't really remember. I think I really lost interest at the last one (revelations?) and didn't even give brotherhood much of a chance.

Though 3 fills you in on all of the back story, so it's not really vital to play any of the earlier ones if you don't want to.

  • i tried to play AC2 when I got it cheap on steam a year ago but for some reason it didn't like my graphics card and ran in slow motion. needless to say i didn't get very far.

may try to download the series ahead of 3 and try again on the new laptop.

  • I played AC1 at a friends how when it came out and found it a bit repetitive. Got 2 cheap in a sale and thought it was great, just wanted a longer story line. I haven't played Revelations but want to get 3.

If I find any time outside of Guild Wars 2.

  • For those enraptured with my tales from EAs 'Free 2 Play' (Pay 2 Win) offering Command and Conquer: Tiberium Alliances, the update is thus:

    It's not going well.

My alliance just got bollocksed by a group called 'The Inner Circle' who clearly spent a lot of real money buying perks and bonus points to use in-game. Given the number of members and the size of their bases I'd estimate several thousand pounds over the past three months.

Very frustrating having spent several hours a day for the for the past couple of months doing this nonsense only to have it end like this.

But the lessons I'll take away from it are invaluable:

    Never play F2P games again.

I can only imagine the damage that could be caused to young minds if MMORPGs were as brutal as this. It's a completely lawless environment. Paid-for online games have mods and admins to report to if things are unevenly balanced. F2P games (with shorter lifespans) actively encourage the imbalance if it means more wedge for them.

I'm going to go have dinner.

  • Smartglass app is out for android, could be fun

  • If you can find one of the older slims I'd go for that, the new ones are supposed to be a bit pants quality...

  • Are the halo games worth playing? got a lovefilm subscription doing nothing and fancy playing something

  • yes. very much so - Halo CE Anniversary if you can

  • Anyone else playing with the new xbox smartglass app for Android?

I had a bit of a tinker last night, and it looks quite good, but not mangaed to get it connected to the xbox yet...

  • Yup. It's pretty cool, although doesn't work with media centre. Good if you've got netflix as you can search from your phone and just launch into the film by the looks of it. Controls are backwards though.

  • Played more of the sims at the weekend. That game is too addictive!!!

  • I know I said it a few days ago, but Dishonored really is fantastic. I'm enjoying it a lot. So many choices, and I love the way the graphics engine looks. Cartoony but slightly realistic too. Murdering people is also great fun...

  • fifa 13 online? anyone

  • Dishonored sound like a good alternated from Bioshock, especially as it's my favourite games (beside Fallout).

Will get it for the Xbox soon as my computer no longer can sustain the latest games.
