  • so wish they would make some v1 forks again

they will do a rerun soon!

  • you're quite right, brake judder do occur in carbon fork, I never experienced anything like that with the Clusterfork though, which to be fair was pretty stiff (after all it was designed for strength + weight in mind).

The Easton were just the right height so the head angle won't be crazy steep, but with a longer rake I'm longed to get.

    Scott shown me Austin Horse's new BMW with the carbon fork, though it look pretty good;

Love the Paul's Component brake setup on the front of this Brooklyn!

  • they will do a rerun soon!

    they shouldn't

  • i want one of those, with a carbon canti fork or a disc fork.

  • Can't find the BMW logo in a big enough size to be able to vectorize it, but if someone can provide one I may be able to make some stickers for a very decent price. I need a set for my Gangsta and I my mate have a vinyl cutter I can use, so I will probably make more than I need.

Also, BMW has finally replied to my emails and they confirmed that another batch of OG Gangsta fork is planned, no date announced though...

  • CRA, I'm interested in some all black decals if you're doing a batch. Keep this thread posted!

  • +1

  • Think thats the worst gangsta I have seen yet. ^^^

  • Can anyone tell me what the seatpost size is for a gangsta v2? I've googled around, but cant seem to find a definitive answer between 29.6 and 29.8mm

    thanks

  • V1 or V2?

    V2 is 29.8mm definitely.

  • Just to let you know that BMW have decals in stock.
They are $10 each set + $10 shipping. Just drop them an email, they now reply quickly.
I'll go with the real thing rather than making my own or buying expensive crappy ones.

  • I wonder if they ever get around to produce some more stems...

And is the seat post really a 29.8mm??

  • so this is where I am at right now! next up are changes to the pedals including velcro straps, a new saddle, and somwhere down the line some new wheels..

I dig the stem, but don't yet know about the bars. Rides supernice though...

  • Today I've shot a few pics of my Gangsta just updated.

more here on Pedal Room : http://www.pedalroom.com/bike/brooklyn-machine-works-gangsta-v2-8940

I'm in love with this bike.

  • Never thought curved forks looked too special on anything but I'd say your build is amazing. Looking forward to the disc upgrade!

  • I've got a 29r front wheel I want to use with a disc brake on my v1. Any brake suggestions? I was thinking about these: http://www.carboncycles.cc/?p=197

But not sure of a-c height and how it would affect the handling

  • I am 6"5 tall - any experiences with a V2 medium size? I really like the looks of the Gangsta but I suppose I am too tall!? :(

  • I'm 180cm, is that like 6"(?), and I ride v2 large with 75mm stem. And my hands are quite short compared to my legs. So I'd say it might be a tad bit too small for ya :-/

depends on the cockpit setup really. Can't ride this with drops, so had to get a second frame (mielec, not brooklyn) for cx.

  • The launch pad that was on here a couple of weeks ago sold for a mere £217.50 on eBay just now.

  • ha, link?!

  • I was the highest bidder up to £200. But then I cba because I don't need it. At all.

  • Hi guys I need some help. Could someone who owns a large (50cm) V1 gangsta let me know the seat tube and effective top tube measurements please?

  • think it's around 58 square, i can measure it later

  • Sweet jv, let me know when you get around to it.
