Can anyone advise which size bottom bracket I need to install on my Pompino?
The single speed crank will be an old 52T Dura-Ace.
102 or 111? I am guessing 102.http://www.wiggle.co.uk/token-tk867-iso-square-cromo-axle-bottom-bracket/

OK. size conundrum.
inseam says large, torso says medium.
i really don't want a spacer stack, but how bad is it to run the stem a bit short? how much does 14mm more tt even mean? -

About this much.

haha, I feel like I'm overcomplicating things, but I think I might just get it right from the beginning.
my track bike fit me fine at 56x56, but this one is going to be set up for riding in the hoods mainly. -

The single speed crank will be an old 52T Dura-AceWhich exact DuraAce? Road or track? 7400 road cranks need 112mm JIS according to Velobase, which seems odd, 113mm is a more normal size. You might get a nice 42mm chainline with a road double crank by mounting the ring in the outer position and using a 103mm JIS BB, or you might find the crank boss interferes with the BB cup - I have that set up with FC-2200 cranks and a Token BB. 7600 track cranks need 109mm JIS, so the 111mm ISO Token would work. The 102mm ISO BB is only for a certain era of Campag, recognised by the banana shaped cranks.

I really like this. I'm planning a pretty similar build, but with the white frame, and without the white components. Which brakes are those? Mini-v's of some sort, right?
But surely a winter bike needs mudguards?

Cheers yeah they're tektro 926al mini v's, seem decent enough.
Well spotted, picking up a set of mudguards and 25mm tyres when I get paid next week ;)

indeed, and i offered this...but turns out a rear rack and basket was preferable to her. win. win.
and i did give her a "got car door'd" discount too on the labour....(we are indeed very nice people do deal with, in case you had any suspicions...ha!)

That rear cable hanger is the bane of my existence. When I ordered my frame, I only saw the picture on the site (which is of the small, which doesn't have it). It's something I don't intend to use, looks like my hacksaw will meet it soon.

maybe possible to make it into some sort of rear light attachment? drill a small hole through it big enough for the screw that comes with the attachment for the rear light, then bolt it on there, would look pretty snazzy.

Been meaning for ages to take some photos of mine in case it ever gets nicked.
Touch wood etc.Medium Pompetmine frame
Kona P2 forks with an IS disc caliper mount welded on and an eyelet for the rotor guard (currently a bit mashed up and in need of attention)
shimano deore hub & a Rigida DP18 rim on the front wheel with a shimano centre lock style rotor
rear is a Surly single speed hub with standard bolt-on disc brake mount on the other side, Rigida DP18 rim
Avid BB7 (long pull MTB) calipers on both front and rear
cranks are Onza T-Bird 24t with a bashguard
shimano freewheel is 17t so the gearing is quite low compared to others
brake lever is a dual pull modified deore lever
cheapest shimano SPD pedals. cant remember the model number.Drive side

fml, I had been eyeing off an xl white 2012 pompino. There where 2 left last time I checked and now they are out of stock... NOOOOOO I have emailed on one, but does anyone know if they get more stock/how long it usually takes?
-
• #1095
Thats strange, how come those images arent embedded? Is there a max pixel width?
-
• #1096
^^
yeah I had the same thing, was looking at large white 2012 Pompinos, and I emailed On One to ask when they'll be back in stock. They said 'those frames should be back in stock early next month'. -

Yes, it used to be 1024px but there was talk of upping it to 1280. Applies to the long side, not the width.
