Yeah they're bad. Thanks for pointing it out. Mine aren't too far off them.

I've put my main bike in winter(ish) mode:
Just turned a useless old pair of jeans into a budget lock holster:
That's pretty smart! Gonna try that one.

@apollo, re Campag BB:
I'm guessing an early version of AC-H, for Daytona/Centaur/Athena/Chorus. There are four basic versions of the FAG/Campag cartridge BB
SC-S steel cups, solid axle
SC-H steel cups, hollow axle
AC-S alloy cups, solid axle
AC-H alloy cups, hollow axleIn general, the solid axles are black and the hollow ones are silver. Assuming you're looking to buy this, ask the seller what the cup material is and whether he can see through the axle if you want to know which letters to assign to it but really it is much less important which one it is than how good the condition is.

Nice, especially for that price.
What sorta build you gonna go for?
-
• #68414
Build it with modernish everything (apart from forks, don't think there's many ally/carbon options with canti mounts and inch steerer)
105 or ultegra I reckon, no idea on wheels. Want it to be decent but also reasonable for commuting (although I do want to have a go racing it). -

You can get a Wound Up with 1" steel steerer and canti mounts, but dunno if thats what you were thinking of.

Not with my budget!

Another cheap option is some carbonzone MTB forks with canti mounts. They have a wide enough range that u should be able to find some thing that works.
Other wise surly cross check 1" fork seems like a sensible move.

Won't work with 700c, the brake mounts are out by 31.5mm

Mate has some oak cycles 653 ones he might sell me so I'll probably go for them.
Crosscheck are nice but $$$

Cool. Are the forks recycled?

Konga - I've always wanted to try a cargo bike, they look like so much fun to ride, especially if you have a mate in the front on a drunken ride back from the pub! :D
As per usual, you're doing something really interesting, love to see this built up.
Will the cargo bed be ok like that without some diagonal supports from main frame?

Cargo bed isn't brazed to the frame yet and I'm going to add some supports eventually.
Here's one shot from the first test run before I started to make cargo bed/box:
