  • the ride will naturally fragment; the faster riders will get better coffee when they get there first, and just get faster, while the vanguard will furtle along clutching at their stomachs and coughing up little bits of broken coffee machine. No worries.

  • ^ When I lead rides, we stick together. No one goes in front of the ride leader.

    Mwah ha ha.

But srsly, it's not a race is it?

  • blimey what a list. i know that we usually only get about a third of a list actually turning up, but if everyone does actually get out of bed for this one...

    #longqueuealert

Which is why I have checked with all the venues. Of course, not everyone will have a coffee at EVERY stop, or will they?

  • I will probably have one coffee throughout the whole day. I'm not actually very good with coffee (don't fire me).

  • on my last coffee ride i managed 5 coffees before i just couldn't stomach another one.

  • I reckon I can do 3, possibly 4 if I have a decent lunch.

  • It's not the number of coffee I'm worried about, moreso the number of toilet stop.

  • Just have your morning performance and leave it at that.

  • Actually looking forward to this ride, skipping training at HH to be more social again.

There was a fair few of us last time out, there wasn't too long to wait anywhere. As I recall the longest line was stop 1 at Monmouth in London Bridge which wasn't too bad.

    Looking forward to this one.

No, of course not. Good job that that caffeine isn't performance enhancing otherwise......

  • I discovered the upper limit on how many coffees I can drink (it is 5) one morning a couple of weeks ago when my hangover had destroyed my short term memory and my friend, who I can usually rely on to babysit me, failed to stop me buying more every chance I got.

At least that got me well prepared for this though, really looking forward to it.

  • I'm out, sorry.
Hope you all try many tasty coffees!

  • Weather looks quite promising for saturday :-)

    *so far

  • ^Jinxed it. May as well call the whole thing off. Lightning, snow and flooding.

  • Don't worry! If I carry around half my bodyweight in waterproof clothing all day then it's guaranteed you wont see a drop.

  • Alex,

Do you have a route yet or even a start point and time?

    From the opening post...

Meet for prompt 10am start, at first stop Prufrock, Leather Lane. Nice and central for those not so familiar with this 'ere town

Spoke cards delivered to MM yesterday, and they are absolutely superb. Not sure if they match the ironic awesome-ness of Guinness 7.1, but a mighty fine offering, and top lamination from my printing friends.

If Friday evening goes to plan, I will probably not be alone in needing intravenous caffiene by 11am Saturday morning, so be warned that some stout loving zombies may be tagging along with you good people.

  • Bernie,

Thanks but 11:00 was also mentioned because of the Guiness ride.

If those drunken arses cannot get out of bed, that is their look out, and I am pretty sure 10am was choosen by the organising ladies, as the perfect Goldilocks timing

    • Not too early

    • Not too late

    • but just right...

  • Zebs, it is as it says in the OP - 10am Prufrock.

Ends 'roughly' 4-5 hrs later in Bermondsey Street Coffee.

Bernie, you are a true legend (oxymoron?).

"Oy, who are you calling a moron?"

You need to photo and post a picture of the spokies.

  • Yeah but it's got some of the route on it.

    Oh, go on then...

    ^ Not the final route!

  • And this is how they came out:

  • Epic!! Looks great, bring on the weekend!
