Many Super Record 11 users on here? How much trouble does indexing cause on post 2011 groups? I have read that it requires more TLC to keep tip top compared to others.
I am quite stuck on groupset choice between the big 3 mechanical offerings (Red 2013, DA 9000, SR11) as I don't have allegiance to any of the manufacturers and have found all their hoods to be pretty comfortable over the years. Surprisingly they seem to be available for near enough the same price (Was surprised by SR)
Most recently coming of Sram and have liked it. Cant help but feel that they will release an 11 speed group very soon to match their MTB 11. The reports of unbeatable front shifting (excluding di2) does make it attractive. New DA sounds promising but not loving the crank despite clever chaining combinations.
Group is for an S2 (12) or R3 (12) frame if that makes any difference. Di2 was on the cards but new Di2 seems to be beyond budget and im still wrestling with the idea of adding that level of complication to such a simple machine.
Any honest or experience based input appreciated. Admittedly at this level its hard to avoid the 'emperors new clothes' phenomenon as no one likes to admit the juice wasn't worth the financial squeeze.
