• check the bearing cranks wheels etc for play even a little side to side movement in either could cause you a bit of a bill to repair / replace / re grease

    ride it around a bit try all the gears from first to 14th change up and down make sure they all line up properly although those could be friction shifters as opposed to indexed gears so they should work just dandy

    I will check the cranks. As for the gears, can't they be adjusted? H and L screws? As you can tell I am no expert.

    Make sure you can adjust seat-post.
    I just bought a(n awesome) frame where I can't (currently plusgas-ing) and am probably having to hacksaw the bastard out this weekend...
