I've been recommended this, any thoughts?

Looks pretty good. tbh I know more about tennis racquets, and usually try them out first.
You can make it extra special with fancy grip tape and a vibration absorber doobie. Restringing might cost, and as it's new, won't really need it.
Also, you see that W, you can ask whether a speciality racquet store (i.e. http://www.wigmoresports.co.uk/) can put her initials on there instead or whatever you want...
It's usually done on new strings so not sure about getting the existing W off...She's a lucky lady :)

Thanks Mands! Getting it restrung with her initials is the ultimate, definitely going to look into that.

Played fr the first time since school on Sunday. I ache in parts I'd forgotten about. Going to start playing more regularly.

Did your lady get her custom racquet?! Pics!

End of a relationship thread >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I did get her this after we broke up but I didn't bother with any of the customization.
Trouble is, I actually played with it on Sunday and it's really good, now I want my own. Can't turn up with his and hers rackets though :(

Maw. Sorry to hear. Was a tres nice present, esp with the custom thought!
Easy solution, time to get another squash partner...

You're more likely to come out of that thread with a ban or a feud than a partner, squash or otherwise.
Want to play?

Yeah, I know. Hilarious...isn't it?
Ashamedly, I don't know how to play squash. (lord knows why I am subscribed here either. No action on the tennis thread, I'd put it down to.) I confess thread >>>>>>Suppose I could play, I could rent a racquet and you teach me the rules?

I could borrow one from my housemate for you. Where's you manor, North, South?

How odd I just played my first game for two years at 12 today. I won 3-2.

craftybutcher, get involved! Anyone got any objections in playing at Brixton Rec? They aren't the most glamorous of courts (no glass screen) but they're cheap and quiet.

I'm in W3 but had to cycle to TW8 and I live in Portsmouth so I'm out.

you mean i'm going to be locked in a sound-proof room with a stranger from the forum....
and if craftybutcher, gets involved, two...hmmm....
-
• #97
Ok, if we can get two courts every 3 weeks we can have a reasonable round robin. People want to start in the new year?
-
• #98
hang on round robin?! i don't even know what the rules are! :P
-
• #99
For anyone who plays tennis the rules can be explained and understood in 3 minutes and during play.
This is turning into "Let's find a new compass beers pub" fiasco though.

Don't be pulling out the old "Oh that's out because you were over the line here, and you didn't hit over this line, when it is on the left-hand-side. So that's a point to me" trick.
Depends how much you want to spend and how pro she is....
Here's a range to look at...
