Please report dangerous drivers to the police - Roadsafe. Report to plod, not just whinge here.

Now, is reporting to Roadsafe the same as reporting to the police?
No. Roadsafe is about gathering intelligence not starting a prosecution. It may be worth reporting this incident directly to the police as well as to Roadsafe but they will not take any action because:

• there is no corroborating evidence
  
• no one was injured
  
• there was no serious damage
  Unfortunately this level of illegal driving is too low a priority for the police to investigate especially as they are facing 10-15% cuts in everything now the Olympics are over.
  

Please let us know what reply you get from the lorry company, if you get a brush off or no reply within a week let us know and we at LCC will have a go at them.

The police are questioning the future of Roadsafe because only cyclists use it regularly and they are not getting information about other bad behaviour. We are pushing them to use the information better to build up a picture of how bad driving threatens us all the time and also to publicise Roadsafe so it gets wider use.
