Winter boots are heavy, and quite clunky if you get them big enough to wear winter socks.
At this time of year normal shoes plus neoprene overshoes are a nice intermediate step.
Once it gets bitterly cold I'll shelve the Dragons+overshoes, but right now they are working well.
