I went on a date recently.... I was a bit nervous and fidgety beforehand so I decided to do a little bit of tinkering with the bike to settle the nerves, a bit like that kid with ADHD out of The Fast and The Furious.... Adjusting brakes, tightening cranks, cleaning and lubing the chain and stuff... nothing too major. I didnt have a rag anywhere having recently moved house so I grabbed an old pair of undies to give everything a wipe down. They were pretty well finished... waist band all stretched and stuff. Anyway, I tidied up my room by basically hurling the tools and stuff across into the corner before going to have a spruce up in the shower. Soap, mouthwash, clean below the knees... the whole box and fucking dice.
Everything went really well and she came back to my place. Im pretty fucking charming so we ended up in my room. Sadly, the tools made it to the corner, but the inside out jocks that I'd used to clean the chain only made it about half way. There they were in the middle of the floor, lying inside out with a gritty black skid right through the middle of the undercarriage.
Kinda killed the moment.
