I have a suspicion you'd find that genesis a bit of a lump. You can buy parts with CTW, right? How about a single speed (or fixed) Surly Crosscheck? Keep it lean.

technically no, I do the ride currently fixed but it is sometimes a mission across the chilterns.

has to be a complete bike apparently. been thinking about getting something like a CAADX 6 for 800 from evans and converting it to single speed.
