My other half took me to Vanilla Black for my birthday lunch. I'm vegetarian and she eats meat.
It was very good, the service was also good, not too intrusive. We both loved the food however it was quite rich. A lot of the dishes contain dairy so the choice will be smaller for vegans. I would definitely go back, it was not too pricey.
I'd agree - went there and liked it. It was quite dairy heavy but nice none the less. The meat eater with me enjoyed it.
That said a colleague went at about the same time and really didn't get on with it. She found it a bit cold and sterile and the atmosphere wasn't really to her liking.
One thing we did agree on was Alyn Williams at the Westbury. We both went before he got his Michelin star and it was excellent. Veggie food was amazing, great service and the dining room looks brilliant.
