James Bond? Really?!

Ummm...yes. Why wouldn't you (and any living being on the planet) be?
Theme by Adele is pretty disappointing though. So... meh. Last few have all been very safe.
The early reviews have been great. Looking forward to Q.

I dunno. I guess I always thought seen one, you've seen them all - it's beyond me, they're consistently terrible films, and yet people hold on.....

and the best Bond and film (for me) is Lazenby in OHMSS - just to add insult to injury

The worst is Octopussy.
It's truly awful.

Eh? Pretty sure Bond films have been going so long that they have the full range, from Octopussy (poc), to Goldfinger and new Casino Royal. But hey, there's no accounting for taste.
Okay, so favourite Bond opening credits? Mine is still From Russia With Love where they projected the credits onto women dancing. Fantastic. Goldeneye is pretty strong too, just for pure ostentatiousness.

Best Bond opening?

At least you didn't say Roger Moore, or Pierce Brosnan.

From the "What's your motto?" thread:
Mine's "Roger Moore".

Saw Ruby Sparks on sunday. Best film of the year for me, just better than Lawless - although utterly different.
Just went to the cinema to see Ruby Sparks, have it all to myself bare two other person (subtitles at my local cinema which is a bonus).
Rudy Spark remind me very much of Stranger Than Fiction and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which got this feeling of deja vu, I did enjoyed it, but not as much as I would like to.
Thinking about it, it's almost identical to Stranger Than Fiction other than that the character is already real, whether Ruby isn't.
It's worth watching, but don't expect much.

Thank you for what may-or-may-not-be a killer of a spoiler.
Reminds me of a trip on the tube to the cinema to watch the usual suspects, and encountering a poster for the film with a big circle and the annotation "He did it".
This isn't strictly true, this instance and my watching of the film was separated by about 5 years, but nevertheless it had the same effect.

not a spoiler, it's pretty much the description of the movie;
Ruby Sparks;
A novelist struggling with writer's block finds romance in a most unusual way: by creating a female character he thinks will love him, then willing her into existence.

I really liked it. Funny and became a little dark near the end. I think the fact that I (as did Scoble) pretty much had the whole room to myself helped with the enjoyment. Hopefully more people go see it though...

Question Re: Prometheus. Is it worth obtaining )legally or illegally) the DVD to see the alternative beginnings/endings?

one of the scenes has a completly different Fifeild creature which apparently looks way better/scarier but that's about it.. wouldn't shift $$ on it

Holy Motors is totally the best thing I've seen at the cinema this year, well, best new release anyway. Guy Maddin's Keyhole was also aceness.
If you like understated East German 1980s surveillance tension, then Barbara is for you. Nina Hoss was bloody excellent.

Going to see Barbara next, was going to last weekend but opted for Holy Motors instead.

Went to the premiere for the film 'Radioman' the other week, immensely enjoyable and got to meet and talk to Radioman.
See video below for a piece some of my colleagues did at work on him as well.
Thank God. Isn't she about twelve?
You are Jimmy Savile and I'm phoning the old bill...
