I don't know enough about the potential legal challenges to come, although I imagine a number of aggrieved parties will be looking to recover monies previously paid to him, i.e. News International and SCA.
However, if he can continue to spin the line about this being a witch hunt and deploy the cancer shield (and it's noteworthy that many of his sponsors who announced the termination of their arrangements with him have said they'll continue to donate to Livestrong) then it might all blow over and he can avoid the confession and the erosion of his estimated $125m personal fortune.
The recriminations for the sport of professional cycling will continue for some time though I think, especially with McQuaid and Verbruggen still in situ at the UCI.
