There is always something not quite right with (at least) one of the bikes I own - the curse of multiple bike ownership.
Merckx headset: stop loosening yourself
Merckx rear axle: stop slipping when I do standing starts
Track bike: there is a tiny bit of grit loose in your front rim, it doesn't do anything/isn't dangerous but I can hear that fucker :(
Dropped it off to Sam this morning at LMNH, he has made it feel like a different bike.
The only thing left is the chain being thrown when back pedalling, but that looks to be a function of the chainring being bent.
I've got a pair of 46/36 Stronglight CT2's arriving on Friday, so I'll chuck those on and see if it's fixed.
Once they arrive I'll swap to my 12-27 cassette and it'll be ready for winter duties.
I would be over the moon if all I have to do is clean it and lubricate the chain over winter- that is my current dream.
