I take it your RLJs are left turns then? This is OK in the US as it's the expected behaviour of cars in some places, this isn't the case here and whether you reckon it's OK or not is irrelevant. If someone decides to cut a corner, because there won't be a car there, the light is red so they can't come through, you'll hit them, A tonne of steel at 2mph + a bike at 20mph = likely injury.
