1.25 isn't big. >2.0" is big in a slick/tarmac tyre, like hookworms or big apples.
Today was first day (riding polo bike) I rode to work, got there without feeling rushed or stressed, then when I rode back I took a few long cuts to explore some new corners of the city. On road bike its always go fast go fast go fast, but on stupid twiddly low gearing you sort of just coast along, quite enjoyed it lol.
