New this year I believe. Scott (Black Rainbow Project) posted a link to a UK retailer with stock somewhere on here.
It was descent-gear.com I bought a pair of 28's and used them for PR.

Sexy bike, sexy photos, 1st one especially.
But those bars, are they crit bars? Older levers maybe look ok/right shape, but sti's look alien on there. Guess its comfy thoughThanks :) The bars are 3T Podiums from planet x, cheap as chips, but not overly comfortable, no. Getting flat top short-and-shallow bars asap.

Coke, the drink, and tin foil is also good for polishing rusty chrome.

^ Very nice, i debated getting the kaffenbach frame for my tourer, but got sidetracked by an old 1980's bike instead. Good job.

Question.
Keep the black tape, change for white, or pink?
Can you get this but in black and white?
White starting at the end of the drop, working back to black?

I'm about to drop £$€ on a new road frame and forks... 90s vintage, 126mm spacing... I've got an Athena 11sp gruppo waiting to go on it, am I likely to have any issues with an Athena/Chorus 12-27 cassette on a 126 frame?
Cross-posted from Any question answered... Nice job on the Merckx, Dan!

@TS .. Done a couple of 10 speed Campagnolo Centaur and Record / old steel and I've not had any issues - one had a 126 rear and the other 130. Saying that both where built with standard gearing and not compact so I can't comment if there will be enough slot length in a braze on for location of the front mech ..
Also it will depend on the 'straightness' of the frame if you're using an old frame see http://shifterbikes.com/ 25.08.10 BASS-OHHH.. tube faces had to be refaced .. there was also issues because of the max tubing and the front braze on position for the mech to work correctly

This thing is hard to get a photo of. It's actually retina disolvingly vivid, fluo-pink, electric-salmon. It's visible several streets away but the camera just can't quite fathom it.
It's a bit of a mess but I'm working part by part to get it in good working order without it being out of action more than an evening. It's the new commuter, hi-vis for the winter city riding and the plan is cheap but reliable parts.
The frame is actually quite nice...

As winter is on the way, the theory was that now would be a great time to build a practical winter commuter. In practice, I've done the opposite.
I have been using this parts bin special as my daily beater for the last 8 months or so. A Surosa track frame, which was matt black powder coated before I got it

When I saw this for sale on here with a cracked head tube (quite common with Forts).

I had Vernon Barker fix it for me for a measly £30, then as the paint was fucked after the welding, and the fact I hate metallic blue bikes, I gave it a Home Made Ghetto Fade, then built it up tonight into this (sorry about the shit pics)

No new parts, but I sprayed the rear rim black as well. The brake and pedals are now on, but they're the same as the ride at the top. I'm really not keen on the cockpit, but it'll do for a bit until I dial in what I want. It should be a bit of fun, and it'll be heading back to NZ with me in December anyway, so some summer riding is on the cards soon.

Just on modern groups on 126mm spaced steel frame...
My wife's bike is an old steel frame. Possibly Columbus. We fit a 2011 Campy Veloce compact groupset on it with no problems. That's with a braze on front derailleur too. had to slightly spread the rear, but it rides fine.
Top work on the Spooner.
Can't wait to move in so I can collect my bikes together and give the Lexpres a home. I've got some risers for that too.
