Some people love 'em and have ridden them to victory in elite level races. Apparently.
So they can't be all bad. Worth reading the response to the review from Retroshift's Adam in the comments.
Fair enough. The review was that long I hadn't bothered to read any of the comments. Still doesn't really mention braking performance from the hoods though. I ride tektro R200 levers and when I use them from the hoods, my top finger sits just below the pivot. Can't see how the shift levers don't get in the way when they're in this position.
Other than that, I really like the idea for what I want to do. Might have to try one.
