Is it a possibility that these extreme doping practices brought on his cancer? I realise this is a murky and controversial subject to raise.
Masking his doping use may have also masked any signs of cancer that might have otherwise been picked up during routine testing, possibly leading to the cancer progressing further before being spotted.
